Responsibilities
• Leads a small technical team - training employees, planning daily workload, appraising performance, delegating tasks and providing technical support • Champions continuous improvement activities and initiatives, to support RMA processing efficiencies • Ensures that RMA inventory is received, identified, stored, handled and managed accurately and effectively with a strong adherence to following established process • Liaises closely with inventory and manufacturing teams to ensure effective process/transactional hand offs • Manages 3rd party suppliers RMA inventory, product flow and root cause analysis reporting • Processes RMA's received, to established departmental goals and KPI's • Utilizes visual methods in daily operations within his/her department. Including but not limited to - safety, inventory management and flow/throughput • Organizes the RMA work area with a disciplined approach and an emphasis on 5S principles • Provides detailed product evaluation information to help drive improvements and corrective action • Diagnoses and prepares RMA product for transfer and subsequent refurbishment • Complies with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per Avigilon's Quality Management System Qualifications
• A degree in electrical or computer engineering is preferred • A black belt six sigma certification is preferred • 5 plus years of working experience in a similar RMA role in an electronics manufacturing facility • Practical working experience/knowledge of SAP is a definite asset • Continuous improvement experience in a LEAN manufacturing environment is a definite asset, as is involvement with Kaizen and/or 5S projects or initiatives • Inventory management experience in a warehouse environment is a definite asset • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Process orientated approach with strong process discipline • Good technical knowledge with ability to communicate issues concisely • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a dedication to quality and safety • Excellent manual dexterity and ability to lift up 50 pounds • Specific vision requirements include close vision and color vision • May be required to travel within North America Perks and Benefits:
