We are seeking an experienced Research Scientist with a deep understanding of next generation sequencing technologies and molecular biology techniques to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary sequencing team. This role is intended for a scientist who is highly motivated and self-directed, a team-player who thrives in a fast-paced work environment with multiple competing priorities, and above all, someone who can learn and grow with us. How you might spend your days:

  • Planning and executing R&D experiments in a collaborative, cross-functional, environment
  • Developing and evaluating new NGS library preparation processes
  • Preparing single cell and bulk sequencing libraries
  • Summarizing and presenting data at team meetings
  • Training and mentoring members of a dynamic team
  • Communicating effectively with team members to help move projects forward
  • Supporting and collaborating with team members to meet project deliverables and timelines

Required qualifications and experience:

  • You have a MSc with at least 3 years of additional academic or industry-related experience or a PhD in molecular biology or a relevant field
  • You put teamwork first, and foster a collaborative, inclusive and friendly environment
  • You have experience in a broad range of molecular biology techniques
  • You have worked with RNA and maintained an RNase-free work space
  • You have deep knowledge of high-throughput sequencing platforms and library prep methods
