As a Research Associate working with the Immunology team in the Research and Development (R&D) Department, you'll be responsible for independently testing and optimizing internal products, interpreting data, and providing regular reports on your results. By pairing a creative approach with your deep technical knowledge and hands-on expertise in immune cell culturing and immunoassays, you'll drive the optimization of quality workflows related to immunology. This position is perfect for recent MSc science graduates who want to continue honing their laboratory and research skills while contributing to the creation of high-quality workflows for researchers around the globe.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform human primary cell isolation, culture, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and molecular biology techniques
  • Validate new products, product components, and technologies, and keep accurate and detailed records of lab procedures and results
  • Present data in team and R&D meetings and contribute to data interpretations and future experiments
  • Mentor and help train junior members of the team
  • Occasional weekend work (Saturday and/or Sunday) may be required

Knowledge and Qualifications
  • MSc in a biomedical related field with 2-6 years relevant lab experience is required
  • Knowledge and experience with human T-cell and primary cell culture, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and molecular biology techniques is an asset
  • Familiarity with cell therapies, gene editing, RNA analysis, and coding is desirable, but not essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting your own data to small and large groups and writing reports
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented individuals with critical thinking and observational skills
