As a Requirements Analyst, your primary role is to be the bridge between Product Management, other key stakeholders and the Product Development teams. You understand the product, the vision, the development environment and processes, and the technologies used by the development teams. This enable you to refine the product vision into concrete requirements for the development teams to work from. You are the person the development team relies to help guide their work, the one they approach to clarify intent and the one who helps resolve issues or conflicts in product definition.
You succeed in this position by bringing both a business perspective and a developer's perspective to the discussions. You recognize the importance of clear communications, solid design practices and processes and a great attitude that leads the team members to seek your assistance. Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in a requirements analyst, business analyst or product owner role • Superb written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of engineers, managers, executives, support staff, and customers • Strong analytical skills - you evaluate product requirements for validity and completeness • Effective interviewing skills - you ask the right questions to elicit essential requirements information from various stakeholders • Modelling skills - you use graphical and textual representations to model requirements and systems • Self-motivated - you learn quickly and independently and are a team player who leads by example • Experience with software development lifecycles and product deliveries • Familiar with object oriented architecture and design, web technologies, scripting languages, build systems, and version control systems • Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline • Prior experience as a software developer is clearly an asset Perks and Benefits:
