We are currently looking for an Renewal Underwriting Analystto join our team inSurrey, BC. This role willgenerateappropriate and competitive renewalsfor groups each quarter - both stand alone and as part of various blocks.Verifying the data used, checking that the renewals in total in each block meettheir targets and ensuring accurate renewal packages. Responding appropriatelyand effectively to partners' questions and interacting with insurers whererequired.
Outcomes Within the first 30 days you will
Understand ingeneral Group Health products and distribution channels
Grasp range ofblocks, sponsoring associations and their unique requirements
Understand fullrenewal process
Within the first 60 days you will
Understandsources of data and any limitations
Becomecomfortable with the renewal packages produced and how to assess their accuracyand appropriateness
Within the first 90 days you will
Master MIRA renewal process
Follow generalapproaches to adjusting renewals to meet block requirements
Becomeadept at responding to partner requests and working with insurers foradjustments to renewals and alternates

ReviewMIRA renewals for accuracy and appropriateness
AdjustMIRA renewals as required to meet individual appropriateness and block targets
Analyzeaggregate renewal actions within a block to ensure targets are met
Reviewrenewal packages for accuracy
Analyzeexperience and situation for specific groups to justify and explain the rateaction
Respondto partners' questions and explain renewals and, as necessary, adjust renewalswith team lead or approach and negotiate with insurance partners changes asneeded
Producerenewal summary and detailed reports as required internally, by partners and byinsurers
Processacceptances of renewal rates and ensure that information is distributed asrequired
Adjustor check changes in parameters within MIRA to ensure that MIRA's renewalsreflect individual, block or insurer requirements
Lookat ways to improve processes
Useand understanding of CRM in daily operations
Take on Ad-hoc projects as required
Education & Experience
Post secondary maths, stats or related
