Position Summary
Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at the Dawson Creek & District Hospital.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, as part of the multidisciplinary team, the R.N./RPN works with people admitted to the Adult Psychiatry Unit for Acute treatment of Mental Health and Addiction issues. As part of the multidisciplinary team, through assessment and monitoring of each client, the nurse develops and implements a plan of personal care and intervention to assist the client in managing the symptoms of their illness. Thereby the client can return to the community and connect with appropriate follow up services.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (Rotating)

Qualfications
• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN registrant.
• Two (2) years experience in Mental Health and Addictions
• Current CPR "C" certification.

Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with clients, families, members of the multidisciplinary team and the public.
• Ability to operate related equipment
• Ability to organize work and design, implement and evaluate a plan of care
• Physical ability to perform duties of the position.
