Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Wrinch Memorial Hospital.
In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position contributes to the delivery of patient care and the enhancement of professional nursing practice through clinical practice, practice assessment and development, clinical consultation, quality improvement, care coordination and other leadership activities. Clinical Practice Leads work as part of the leadership team and work collaboratively with others to positively impact patient care and nursing practice.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, 07:00 to 17:00 (rotating)
A first in Canada: minimum Nurse-to-Patient Ratios (mNPR) are starting in B.C.! Northern Health, along side other health authorities, is implementing mNPR as a transformative staffing solution that aims to improve the working environment of nurses in order to provide better quality care to our patients.
Qualfications
• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN/RPN registrant.
• Five (5) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
• Effective interpersonal skills including excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively - verbally and in writing at all levels.
• Physical and mental ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize own workload, establish priorities and work independently.
• Ability to operate related equipment including computer software applications.
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
• Knowledge of relevant Legislation, Policies and Clinical Standards.
• Ability to foster working relationships, both internal and external, at all levels.
• Ability to analyze and problem solve complex issues towards creative solutions.
• Ability to anticipate and respond to changing priorities or unforeseen opportunities.
• Ability to provide guidance and direction to others.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and balance multiple activities concurrently.
• Ability to supervise unit staff.
