We're looking for a Rackperson (Frames Technician) to join our Victoria team.Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together
As a collaborative standout colleague to our service technicians, you will perform various tasks from our central offices related to provisioning voice and data orders. There will be daily opportunities to communicate and help your teammates in various TELUS offices throughout Vancouver Island. You will be running and terminating jumpers in a Frame, remote or SAC box and assisting technicians with queries and troubles. In this role, you will also lay groundwork for service orders related to rack work and troubleshoot as needed. You will also utilize several systems to obtain order information, verify records and process order information.Please note:
These are temporary ongoing opportunities; however, training will likely be full-time for the first 4 weeks. Your work shifts will then be scheduled Monday to Saturday between 7AM to 7PM based on our business needs. Rewards of joining TELUS include:

•Clean & valid British Columbia (BC) Class 5 Driver's License or other provincial equivalent; Driver's Abstract will be requested
•High school diploma with Math 11 completion or equivalent; transcripts and/or diplomas required
•Ability to follow safe work practices and abide by all safety rules and regulations
•Possess mechanical ability, personal computer navigational skills, are self-motivated, and work well with minimal or no direct supervision
•Fluent in English and have strong professional oral and written communications skills
•Ability to effectively handle both favorable & unfavorable customer interactions
•Ability to identify problems and situations, take appropriate action, implement solutions or advance
•Work effectively in a harmonious team environment and collaboratively with other departments
•Knack for maintaining a high level of performance under the pressure of time constraints and a dynamic changing environment
•Attention to detail and proven ability in planning and organizing to meet scheduled deadlines
•Able to meet applicable testing requirements Great-to-haves
•Related post-secondary education in telecommunication or meaningful field
