Desired Background : For this position, we are specifically targeting students who have an avid interest in Agile software product development from scratch, with a desire to partake in full-cycle product development including full Minimum Viable Product (MVP) development, digital program increment planning with data scientists and data engineers and end to end stakeholder management. Mining or natural resources processing knowledge is an asset but not required.

Minimum Qualifications : Must currently be enrolled in a recognized and accredited Canadian post-secondary institution

Responsibilities:
  • Supports Product Owners in building out a detailed backlog and creating user stories
  • Conducts data preparation and modeling
  • Participation in Agile and Scrum ceremonies
  • Participates in deploying digital software products to the end users
  • Prepares and presents communication about digital products and their usages to relevant stakeholders
  • Articulates the product specifications and needs clearly to developers and engineers
  • Intermittent travel to mine sites based in Sparwood BC and/or Logan Lake BC to meet with site stakeholders

Qualifications:
  • Preference will be given to students who have previous co-op experience
  • Interest in pursuing a career in product ownership in the future
  • Strong communication skills/stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate product specifications to developers and engineers
  • Able to work effectively independently as well as part of the team
