Working as part of a multidisciplinary team and in collaboration with the regional teams around the world, he works on developing a range of innovative solutions, allowing optimal use of the sub-components by the various regional units and corresponding to their technical requirements. As an autonomous professional, he ensures the rigor and quality of his designs and communicates effectively with his colleagues to promote a collaborative atmosphere.
Your responsibilities
  • Design innovative electronic circuits that meet the requirements defined by the architect of the platform.
  • Actively participate in the design review meetings.
  • Draw up the required technical documents during all the phases of development.
  • Collaborates and participates in the development of the hardware sub-components of the other global platforms of the emergency unit products.
  • Participates in and documents the validation plans of the sections under his responsibility.
  • Collaborates with the suppliers to identify optimal components in terms of performance and costs.
  • Ensures an understanding of customer needs as well as of the various codes and standards that can impact his designs.
  • Participates in the planning and monitoring of projects with the other members involved.
  • Ensure that the products designed meet customer needs, as well as quality and safety standards.
  • Provide technical support to the engineers involved in the projects as well as to the regional engineering teams.

Your background
  • University degree in electrical/electronic engineering with 5 to 10 years of experience designing similar products, or equivalent.
  • Experience in power electronic design.
  • Experience with standards such as UL, CSA, etc.
  • Experience with simulation and CAD tools (Matlab, LTSpice, MathCad, Altium, Orcad).
  • Laboratory experience with testing and validation tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of EMI\\EMC requirements and testing.
  • Knowledge of microcontroller-based product design and embedded software (an asset).
  • Knowledge of product development tools and processes.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property activities.
  • Knowledge of RF level designs (an asset).
