We are currently looking for aQA Analystto join our team inSurrey, BC. The QA Analystwill work with a team of internal developers, testers, business analysts and project managers to develop and improve enterprise level applications,helping GroupHEALTH grow and become more efficient in serving its customers.GroupHEALTH is currently automating its manual testing and is looking for experienced candidates in automation scripting. Our goal is to automate and become more efficient by investing more into Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration and agile methodology.

Outcomes

Within the first 3 monthsyou will

  • Introduction to IT Team and department leaders across the organization
  • Get to know the Development team
  • Start understanding the QA / Testing process
  • Basic understanding of the internal software (WEBS)
  • Review the current development technologies and processes (SDLC)
  • Introduction to the IT Governance process
  • Review and learn basics of System Architecture
  • CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) introduction - 1 modules

Within the first 6 months you will

  • Expand knowledge to CRM, EnrolMe, Partner Portal and other relates systems
  • Work with the team on a release cycle
  • Review and continue to add to the QA Documentation
  • Review, Modify and add to the QA Automation processes
  • Continue to review System Architecture
  • CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) introduction - 1 modules

Within the first 12 months you will

  • Ability to work independently
  • Provide testing estimates to Project Manager
  • Continue to add to the automated testing repository
  • Continue to learn and take courses to grow and advance with GroupHEALTH
  • CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) introduction - 2 modules


In addition to joining a team that is focused on delivering the "WOW!" factor daily (while enjoying weekly yoga stretches, fresh fruit & vegetables, and lots of cake!), yourKey Responsibilitieswill include:
  • Ensure Quality testing for internal and external software projects
  • Design, execute and maintain test plans, test cases and automated test scripts
  • Identify, analyze, and document all issues by using internal defect tracking system (JIRA) and project tracking/management systems (Smartsheet)
  • Be involved in development team meetings, code design reviews, walkthroughs, and technical reviews
  • Work with Internal departments and testers to developer schedules and plans for testing.
  • Triage and manage incoming support and request tickets.


The Must-Haves
  • 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in Automated Software testing.
  • Working in a fast paces team with multiple projects
  • Experience in PHP, JAVA, MSSQL, JIRA / Atlassian


Education and Experience

  • 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in Software testing
  • Working in a fast-paced team with multiple projects
  • Development background a plus
  • Experience in PHP, JAVA, MSSQL, JIRA / Atlassian
  • Automation testing in Selenium and Behat preferred
  • Agile and Scrum experience preferred
