The role: -
This position will see you using your previous Project Coordinating experience to help support the Project Managers on a number of large residential projects throughout Kelowna. Your knowledge of reviewing plans, specifications and submittals for compliance will be well utilized as well as maintaining documentation & detailed records and staying on top of the usual administrative tasks.
Monitoring change orders and inspections will also be in your remit and your communication with staff on all levels will be at the highest level to be able to effectively support the Site Superintendents and Project Managers.
Your skills and experience: -
Well it goes without saying that you are highly organised and a proficient communicator (both writing and verbally) and as you will know from working as a Project Coordinator for more than a couple of years you are also a great problem solver.
With the ever changing world of construction, staying up to date on all the current regulations and requirements is a must and being able to relay this in a timely manner to the involved parties is part of your role supporting the team.
Your technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology or other relevant field will put ahead of the pack along with a few years of on the job experience under your belt, but the most important asset to start with will be your application!
