The Ballard Production Team has an opportunity for a regular full-time Production Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to apply and grow their manufacturing knowledge and experience applying data analytics to improve Operations. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, detail-oriented and energetic professional who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline driven, team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, track, and record Production activities and generate KPI reports; design Power BI dashboards that effectively communicate KPIs to inform day-to-day operations and longer-term strategic initiatives to enable achievement of department objectives.
  • Evaluate current operational strategies and recommend improvements
  • Design, initiate, and oversee project studies of process capacity and/or yield, including restructuring data related to rejected material to better identify real and emergent issues affecting Production, quantify their impact, and deploy proactive solutions that address the root cause
  • Work with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to support resolution of issues impacting production
  • Facilitate communication between business areas to streamline collaboration, and foster cooperation among stakeholders
  • Support and participate in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Continuous Improvement activities
  • Analyzes and communicates variances in financial, on-time, and production reports to ensure key corporate and departmental objectives are achieved
  • Expand business data analysis to monitor, control and improve performance across current and emerging Operations units
  • Participating in special projects as required


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Science or equivalent degree
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of database interaction; ability to write SQL queries is asset
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and evaluate results; proven aptitude for working with numbers
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and interpret complex issues and implement sustainable solutions
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills; ability to work in a team, across multiple sections, departments and companies while considering various levels of management and stakeholders
  • Flexible to support rotating shifts (bi-weekly)
  • Willing to support daily and weekend overtime requirements (as needed)
