Product Manager (Live Games)

Kano is looking for an analytically minded Product Manager to join our live games team to help us increase player engagement, retention and monetization for our F2P social and mobile games including Mob Wars LCN, Viking Clan, Pirate Clan and Zombie Slayer. You contributions will be played by millions of players worldwide and using player feedback and data, you will be charged with improving our products iteratively. 

 You will be working with a multifunctional team (product, player success, development, and marketing) to come up with ideas around:

  • Optimizing features, events, and sales to increase retention and monetization
  • Balancing virtual goods, in game currencies and game assets
  • Systematizing processes within our content management pipelines
  • Analyzing player data and feedback to design new content and game mechanics

 We’re a fast-growing company and your role will be constantly changing and evolving. We’re looking for team players eager to roll up their sleeves and try on a few hats without losing sight of our primary objective: growing our base of loyal customers. We will empower you with as much responsibility as you can handle and expect you to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

While we do offer flexible hours and scheduling, this is primarily an in-office position - remote applicants must be willing to relocate to beautiful Victoria, BC

Experience that would help you succeed:

  • 1 - 2 years of experience working in games or a similar product based role
  • Success working under your own initiative in demanding, fast-paced, changing environments
  • Running experiments that you have never tried before with the ability to use data gathered from your experiments to draw conclusions
  • A good understanding of the mobile gaming market
  • Strong communication skills and ability to drive your thoughts forward in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong understanding of F2P game mechanics and game content pipelines
  • Experience with mobile product development in an agile workflow
  • Experience with game economy, player progression and level design
  • Experience designing and balancing different leveling curves
  • Experience working with spreadsheets and comfort in a math based role

  • Have a financial, psychology, or economics background
  • Have shipped or worked on a hit mobile game
