Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together

As a Network Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing network services for the TELUS Enterprise Network (TEN). You will be working with like-minded team members to provide TELUS with a reliable, highly available enterprise network.

Here's how
    •Developing solutions and detailed technical designs primarily using Cisco technologies and by implementing them collaboratively with peer teams across TELUS
    •Fulfilling TELUS network ICRs, TSRs, and large projects within specified timelines and budgets
    •Providing Tier II Network trouble analysis to support the TELUS Enterprise Assurance team
    •Enhance the reliability of the enterprise network through proactive network performance analysis and augmentation
    •Implementing cloud based services utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
    •The position requires some off-hours work plus some business related travel


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •3+ years in the IP networking industry
    •Deep insight in building and commissioning networking equipment and the operational practices in supporting networking equipment
    •Respected for your knowledge in internetworking design, implementation and troubleshooting of Cisco LAN/WAN environments (high-end routers, LAN switches and Cisco IOS/IOS XR/ NX-OS technologies)
    •Skilled in TCP/IP (addressing, DHCP, NAT, dynamic routing protocols) and access technologies (DSL, T3, Fibre)
    •Recognized as a strong collaborative team player who is a strategic thinker and shares in idea generation
    •Confident with Microsoft Visio and other documentation systems
    •Known as a self-starter who is confident with prioritizing and multitasking in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
    •Is able to adapt to changing priority schedules with the ability to work under minimal supervision
    •Regarded for your ability to deal with information and issues of a confidential or sensitive nature
    •Committed to continuously updating your technical expertise to keep abreast of new services and technologies. Including DevOps and Cloud based technologies.
    •Cisco Certification, ideally CCNP or greater
    •University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics an asset and/or Diploma in Internetworking Technologies

    •GCP Certification
    •Good working knowledge of Python and DevOps philosophies, practices, and tools
