Reporting to the Lead, Digital Systems, the Network Analyst is responsible for provisioning, supporting, and troubleshooting network infrastructure. This work includes configuration of the associated hardware and software to ensure high availability, sufficient capacity, and high performance for the forecasted business demand. This role includes practical experience within the disciplines of switching, routing, wireless and security.

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who has outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, who has exceptional influencing, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills and can translate technical information to people of varying skillsets and backgrounds. Someone who is self-motivated, but collaborates well with a team, and has a passion for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Monitor network infrastructure performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to maintain optimal functionality.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and handle escalations related to network issues.
  • Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose problems.
  • Manage network hardware, including switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi equipment.
  • Create and maintain documentation for network configurations and procedures.
  • Ensure network consistency, reliability, and recoverability.
  • Follow corporate change management procedures to maintain effective control over network changes.
  • Assist in evaluating and selecting network hardware and software.
  • Use the IT ticketing system to track and manage incidents, escalations, and requests.
  • Collaborate with team members, departments, and vendors to analyze network requirements and ensure the infrastructure aligns with organizational needs.
  • Prepare and ensure the accuracy of documentation, operational procedures, manuals, and inventory of network hardware
  • Support development and implementation of networking projects
  • Develop and maintain network connectivity and topology diagrams
  • Keep network infrastructure (data centers, racks, cabinets) organized and perform cable management according to standards

Qualifications:

  • University degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a technical diploma with a combination of relevant experience or certifications
  • Three to five years demonstrated ability in delivering and supporting information technology services, network infrastructure or relevant experience in an industrial setting, preferably in mining
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server Operating Systems, virtualization, Active Directory, and computer networking fundamentals
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), and other industry relevant certifications are an asset
  • Experience in Office365, Microsoft Azure, ServiceNow
  • Understanding ITIL best practices; experience implementing within a project environment would be an asset
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Valid drivers license
  • Working level Spanish is an asset

Salary Range:$83,000 - $103,000

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
