The Multicultural Marketing Strategy Team is here to help our brands connect with Canadians who identify as multicultural, ethnic, or hyphen-Canadians. With so much of the Canadian population falling into this group, and growing, the opportunity is significant and we need great people to help us achieve and surpass our goals.

Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together

Multicultural Marketing is about understanding the unique mindset & behaviour of key multicultural segments that are influenced by their respective cultural norms & beliefs. With the ruthless focus on finding ways to connect with these customers, you will discover deep insights that will empower you to determine the relevant 4P strategy for these customers. You will champion these efforts and work with internal stakeholders to bring marketing campaigns to life - from established promotional sales campaigns like our Lunar New Years and Diwali sales events, to deeper product and/or customer experiences you help ideate and develop.

Here's how
    •Shape strategy for TELUS brands in multicultural marketing and enable a team to bring that strategy to life; ultimately being accountable for the customer base growth within our MultiCultural segment and increasing relative market share in this space
    •Work with internal business units to bring campaigns to life across all customer touchpoints with TELUS, leading the go-to-market efforts for key cultural sales events and help develop other unique marketing campaigns
    •Build strong cross functional relationships to influence multicultural customer journeys across business units, ensuring things like channel tools, digital designs, advertising campaigns, base communications, partnership marketing, and product capabilities are designed with multicultural growth in mind
    •Consistently look inside and outside the industry for ideas, innovation, and inspiration that enables us to win in this segment


Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •You thrive working in a fast paced and often ambiguous environment
    •You enjoy leading and facilitating cross functional teams (4P focus), and possess excellent relationship building and negotiation skills required to obtain commitment from cross-functional teams to support and deliver on priorities
    •You have a strong bias to action with the ability to work independently, come up with new ideas and execute on them to produce the required results
    •Proven track record of driving change and influencing better business results

Great-to-haves
    •You understand or know how to quickly learn about various MultiCultural customer segments
    •University degree or college diploma in business, marketing, or relevant working experience in those areas an asset
