Mechanical Design Technologist

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Technologist to join our dynamic team!

Position Responsibilities 

• Produce detailed technical drawings for mechanical assemblies and components.
• Establish and maintain consistent, high quality, and accurate information required to be shown on design drawings intended for manufacture.
• Ability to prioritize work based on a dynamic environment to meet deadlines.
• Work closely as a team player as part of the engineering group and shop floor personnel.
• Understand a wide variety of manufacturing processes and techniques.
• Remain well-informed of new technologies and infuse new ideas into the department.
• Present project updates to colleagues.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Complete projects and other duties as assigned by manager in a timely manner.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Fluent knowledge and experience with CAD software. i.e. SolidWorks and AutoCAD. 
• Interpret customer specifications and blueprints. 
• Possesses a mechanical design aptitude.
• Experience with any of the following: ERP, CAD, CAM, CMM, ISO 9001:2008 quality standards.
• Machine shop and general safety awareness. 
• Mechanical engineering and manufacturing experience would be considered an asset.
