TELUS is looking for a Marketing Communications Manager to join our Home Solutions Marketing Communications team. The ideal candidate has proven experience in developing end to end customer campaigns, creative development, customer journey strategy and working with external agencies. This person will leverage traditional and digital media and 1:1 communication, to differentiate the TELUS brand nationally and primarily western markets. Leveraging a creative approach to campaigns, we are looking for a team member who can demonstrate success in both strategy development and end-to-end tactical execution.

One of the key attributes for this candidate will be the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and a high comfort level to function within a fast-paced environment characterized by ambiguity and complexity. They will be adept at prioritizing swiftly and effectively, shifting gears to expertly manage multiple projects, budgets, and time sensitive issues when the unexpected arrives. Importantly, they will be curious, creative, autonomous, open to learning, and be the consummate team player.

Here's how:
    •Plans and coordinates execution of marketing communications initiatives on time and on budget, ensuring smooth deployment into the market •Applies TELUS brand guidelines, including visual standards, to all client-facing initiatives •Builds relationships with the creative agency and internal stakeholders to support coordinated product, channel, and promotional activities that create a unified and powerful market presence •Execute best practice project management in the context of cross-functional teams including external agencies •This will require both a keen attention to detail and a clear understanding of the big picture, proactive and effective communications across multiple teams, and adept management of often-conflicting interests •Budget management, forecasting and monthly reconciliations •Take appropriate creative risk and apply strategic judgement as a liaison with advertising, media, experiential agencies and other marketing communications vendors to ensure all client-facing marketing activities build the TELUS brand and enhance the client experience

    •Excellent relationship building skills with a proven ability to collaborate with and influence diverse cross-functional teams •Project management expertise, with the ability to effectively engage diverse and remote teams maintaining a view of both the overall picture and the important details •Highly adaptable to rapidly-changing situations and an ability to prioritize in the heat of the moment •Expertise in communicating technical and complex issues in a clear and concise manner to external and internal audiences •Excellent writing skills and proven success with brief writing, status updates and consolidated feedback •Self-starter, innovator, strategic thinker, and decision maker •Marketing communications experience in an agency or corporate environment •Experience with campaigns set in B2C and B2B environments

Great to haves:
    •Undergraduate degree in Marketing or Journalism or equivalent post-secondary education would be considered an asset •Agency and media experience would be considered an asset
