For one of our client located in the Greater Vancouver area, we are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer.
The Manufacturing Engineer (ME) is responsible in the industrialization of new projects for the definition of the machining process: number of operations, setup and definition of features to be machined within every operation (together with Fixture design & NC-Programmer). The ME selects the tools using the technical tool data base and determines the cutting strategy and cutting conditions (Operation Validation). The ME defines the needs for probing, performs a risks analysis of the defined process with preventive actions and follows up the budget time per operation. He/she validates the program supplied by the NC-programmer, follows-up the tests on the first parts at the machine and establishes the necessary feedback. The ME analyses incidents and quality issues, defines corrective actions for different people of project team (Fixture design, Programming, Tooling, Production).
