Our Customer Network Implementation (CNI) team is responsible for TELUS' wireline investment, a primary return driver in TELUS' annual ~$2.9 billion in capital expenditure. We continue to focus on investments in broadband infrastructure, including connecting more homes and businesses directly to TELUS PureFibre. You and your team are directly responsible for this wireline investment. This includes collaborating to build the plan, making formal requests to senior leaders, proactively governing spend & managing risk, and aligning key stakeholders on the execution of our strategy relentlessly and with world class precision.

The specific area of constant evolution and transformation you will prime provides up to the minute, high value reporting, comprehensive capital analysis and insights, as well as identification of unit cost efficiency, automation and process improvement opportunities.

You will be accountable and responsible for:
•Leading the comprehensive capital management and governance function for the Customer Network Implementation team
•Assessing program risk and leading key strategic conversations with multiple stakeholders to quickly mitigate
•Providing organizational leadership in storytelling and executive presentations to support sound capital investments
•Our scorecard, ensuring alignment to our business unit and that key initiatives are driven to take advantage of opportunities and threats
•Seeking out new and innovative ways of doing things; identifying business opportunities with compelling returns for TELUS, our customers, and our shareholders
•Maintaining and evolving key financial processes to ensure company financial intel and compliance
•Driving automation (leveraging RPA/Bots, Google Suite of programs and existing tools like Adaptive Insights) and self-serve opportunities to gather deeper insights from operational and capital data
•Maintaining the team's DOMO centre of excellence and actively advocating for and championing the use of TELUS systems
•Establishing a methodology for identifying and evaluating business opportunities, including process improvement, by preparing and presenting detailed business cases in a simplified decision making manner

•You have solid understanding of the telecommunication industry and TELUS' position within it
•You successfully lead the development and execution of robust business cases and are capable of sharing the results with executive audiences
•You lead the proactive assessment and proactively manage risks and make recommendations to senior leaders
•You provide day to day leadership support to a geographically diverse team
•You support weekly, monthly, quarterly, and reporting and dashboard metrics
•You proactively identify opportunities, pitch them to gain support, and innovate, by nature
•You have the ability to analyze opportunities to take educated shots and prioritize improvements
•Superior understanding of telecommunication networks, business planning and large scale capital programs
•Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate ideas, concepts or complex issues in a clear and concise manner to diverse audiences
•Relationship building skills, including the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
•Strong project management methods, principles and practices; a demonstrated ability to execute on complex projects, to ensure project timelines are met and deliverables are realized or exceeded
•The ability to lead multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams in a matrix structure
•The ability to present program details, to create program dashboards, to influence peers & a senior audience, and to provide differing viewpoints in an objective manner
•The ability to thrive in the face of ambiguity and complexity
•The ability to prioritize in a dynamic changing environment
•An interest in learning and an entrepreneurial spirit
•A University degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or other quantitative discipline
•An MBA or demonstrated equivalence
•5+ years in a comparable field/role
