This opportunity is with Product Security Processes & Assurance in SAP Global Security (SGS). Comprehensively responsible for the security of SAP products, cloud solutions and infrastructure, this organization comprises the best-in-class experts on application and operations security. We seek an experienced professional to manage a motivated team of security experts in Canada with a good track record in leadership and strong experiences in the security domain.


As a manager of the team of developers responsible for security automation, you will be expected to
  • Identify automation opportunities that help make SAP products secure, drive engineering starting with specification definition through successful delivery and maintenance
  • Develop employees, nurture and encourage talent in the team including the experienced ones
  • Maintain the positive environment that encourages collaboration across organizational and cultural borders
  • Define and execute the organizational goals and align it with SAP's security strategy
  • Understand state-of-the-art and take a position on key security matters
  • Ensure high execution efficiencies and continued motivated contributions
  • Align and execute in tandem with peers
  • Enable the development of key employees in to functional or managerial leadership roles


Required Skills
  • Bachelors or Master's degree
  • Significant experience in complex development projects across teams and locations
  • Established and acknowledged experiences leading critical programs to success
  • Good understanding of DevOps based development and engineering processes
  • Familiarity with security automation practices integrated in the DevOps pipeline are an advantage
  • Ability to work with people across continents with varying cultural backgrounds
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English

  • Management of teams or complex projects with high visibility and multiple stakeholders
  • Experiences with customers and external stakeholders
  • Experiences presenting at security events and conferences is a plus
  • Fellowships and social sabbatical engagements are an advantage
