As a people leader within the Total Rewards & Enablement function, you will lead a best in class team, to drive our systems strategy forward & ensure effective delivery of systems changes for TELUS P&C. Part of that strategy is our ambition to upgrade our legacy SAP HR, payroll and time systems - the foundational systems for team member data at TELUS, to the latest cloud offerings for Core HR systems.

Your knowledge of leading practices for HR systems, project management concepts, exceptional people leadership, service/delivery excellence and collaboration abilities are strengths that will be critical in re-imagining our processes and offerings. You'll also team up with friendly, supportive internal partners, including HR leadership and business partner members, key business stakeholders and external stakeholders, such as supporting vendor partners, to shape the future of work.

Here's how
    Lead a team of SAP HR experts:
      •Ensure our core HR systems are working effectively and according to legislation, collective agreement, internal polices and/or best practice •Be the central point of contact for SAP HCM, issue resolution oversight and other related communications •Coach and develop the team and accelerate readiness for the transition to the Saas/Cloud environment •Drive the resourcing and delivery of the team's project milestones for the P&C systems roadmap •Manage and shape incoming systems enhancements and change demand •Meet both internal and external auditor's Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements •Be a key part of the Digital Strategy & Enablement Leadership Team in driving engagement, innovation and change management •Own the relationship with our Business Transformation SAP partners, including our third party support vendor •Manage the system enhancement budget/resource allocations within your portfolio, collaborating with your customers on prioritization demands and funding
    Operate as a Trusted Advisor and Ambassador:
      •Act as a subject matter expert for systems within your portfolio •Champion the future tech needs for the P&C systems portfolio and the strategic roadmap •Collaborate with key stakeholders to support and deliver various programs for our team members, keeping the team member experience front and center •Accountable for the accuracy, limit in use and protection of team member data within your stewardship •Maintain our compliance both internally, with audit, labour relations and internal customers and externally, with government and audit agencies to prevent penalties for non-compliance
    Provide critical business insights and thought leadership:
      •Build strong relationships across the HR community and represent the digital P&C portfolio at meetings both internally and externally with vendor partners •Continue to strengthen the culture of continuous improvement and innovation to drive improved team member experiences •Take keen interest in scanning the market for the latest updates/vendor offerings in HR Tech solutions and champion/influence the technology landscape and P&C systems strategic roadmap •Review the team's operating model and explore opportunities to enhance process robustness, business continuity and improved resource allocation


Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •Valued for your 7+ years of relevant progressive leadership experience working in the HR or IT function •Great exposure of 3+ years to implementing/owning systems or project delivery in large scale organizations •Deep SAP HCM, Successfactors or equivalent market leading HR ERP expertise •Proven leadership experience dealing with change, creating innovative mindsets and career development of team members •Demonstrated ability as a solid communicator and excellent collaborator who can influence and build strong business partner relationships •Talented at translating complicated and seemingly impossible asks into clear, easy to understand and doable actions for the team to deliver •Recognized for managing numerous competing priorities and commitments with extremely high attention to detail in an organized manner •A calm and collaborative approach to issue resolution •Poised and confident in engaging with all levels of management, including clearly articulating TELUS' obligations and recommendations for delivery •Strong skillset using leading HR ERP systems and google/Microsoft office tools •With a university degree or college diploma, preferably with a slant towards Human Resources, Business Management, Project Management or Systems

Nice-to-haves
    •CHRP designation •LEAN Six Sigma or Project Management Certifications •Certifications in any of the leading HR ERPs (SAP, Oracle, Workday etc.) •Bilingual in English and French, both written and oral
