We are looking for a dynamic, driven and collaborative person to lead our Business Analytics & Development team. You will be supporting your team as they enable various transformational initiatives such as our Future of Learning & Communications, Robotic Process Automation and other Operational Excellence programs.

As a leader within the Coaching & Learning Solutions team, you will bring thought leadership and best practices to the team to help us continually improve, innovate and expand our knowledge in coaching & learning analysis to help drive best in class adult learning solutions.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead and support your team. You will lead the team in reporting and analysis for our coaching & learning programs, measuring training and coaching ROI, software development, and technical projects to drive operational efficiency and innovation within the team.

    •Lead your team in providing analysis for business problems, and confidently support internal decision making through data and insights drawn from multiple sources •Manage the integration, data flow and quality of data for new systems, processes and technologies •Define and manage roadmaps across a multiple of concurrent projects and workstreams, including backlog prioritization, sprint planning and stakeholder management •Evolve our business intelligence strategy and seek out cross TELUS big data opportunities to arm our technicians with data and capabilities to best serve our customers •Drive business, and team excellence through management of our team budget, training hours and scorecard, ensuring we gain solid returns on our investments •Leverage your expertise in technology and software development to drive measurable and sustainable customer experience and directly contribute towards operational excellence by revolutionizing our learning and delivery model, advancing the adoption of digitized workflow tools and automation options •Coach and direct team members in problem solving, resolving conflict and business problems •Strong dedication to the team's success including a willingness to regularly roll up your sleeves to get things done


Required Knowledge
    •Expert knowledge in BI tools such as GSuite (Data Studio), Tableau, Domo, Power BI, SSRS, SSAS •Knowledge of Adult learning principles and learning assessment methodologies •Advanced working experience with data & integration tools like SSIS, and relational databases languages like SQL, MySQL •Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills with strong storytelling ability •Deep understanding of software delivery, from planning, through discovery, design, development, deployment, maintenance and iteration •Basic knowledge of frontend and backend development: .NET, React, Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS is preferred •Basic knowledge of Waterfall, Agile Methodologies (SAFe, Kanban, Scrum, JIRA), Project Development Lifecycle, DevOps •Basic knowledge of version control tool: Git, BitBucket

    •Ability to effectively coach and mentor a diverse team •Strong Decision making, problem solving, communication, and relationship building skills •Excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to work with various levels of management as well as work within multi-functional teams •Superior communication skills to adapt to both technical and non-technical audiences •Thinks "out of the box" and encourages others to do so •Capable of quantifying risks and opportunities on projects and developing a cost/benefit analysis for risk mitigation and to take advantage of opportunities; knows how to efficiently extract needed information from support systems •7-10 years equivalent experience and people management •Experience assessing training or program impacts
    •Technical or data-driven educational background (computer science, engineering, statistics, data science) and/or Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree •Certified Product Owner (CPO), Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
