Position Highlights Do you have the experience and drive to lead our Data Services team through our Big Data journey? Would you like to be a part of a dynamic team re-platforming the current Enterprise Data Warehouse utilizing Big Data technologies such as MAPR, Spark, Scala, StreamSets? We are seeking a strong people-manager to join our growing team.

The Information Management department delivers solutions to enterprise business users in order to enable data science, predictive modelling and fact-based decision making as it relates to business processes, operations and strategies.

This is accomplished by providing internal and external customers with complete, accurate and consistent data & metadata. This also includes preparing data for data scientists and performance measurement (dashboards, scorecards and indicators) development services. Currently the Information Management team is upgrading our existing technology from a traditional Enterprise Data Warehouse to a MAPR based technology stack.

Your responsibilities will include: • Establishing a strong partnership with our Analytics, Actuary and Data Science teams; • Support the deployment of predictive models/AI within our operational and reporting systems • Deliver quality products utilizing Discipline Agile methodologies • Provide technical leadership and assist with "hands-on" contribution for data preparation for analytics stakeholders • Provide centralized analytics support and establish a data preparation function to support the business needs. • Lead delivery of data solutions , manage project timelines and customer relationships • Contribute to data management strategies including solution and data architecture. • Provide optimized solutions and do value monitoring, quality assurance and data validations • Supporting the development and enhancement of the information management practice to meet the changing needs of the organization including the identification of new tools and techniques to enhance service delivery.

services to the department's customers; to hire, prepare, guide, motivate, support and direct employees in the delivery of services; and to hold employees accountable for the effective and efficient delivery of these services.

• A proven leader through 2-3 years of people management experience in public or private sector • Your knowledge of business domain, data engineering, data science and passion along with your ability to lead and inspire a team, will play a key part in your success in this role. • Demonstrated experience in large and complex data intensive information projects using industry best practices and standards. • Experience in big data architecture, data blending, data curation and data transformation. • Technical knowledge in data management using big data technologies & tools. • Innovative and passionate about solving complex problems with variety of data & analytical tools • Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem components, such as: HDFS, Hbase, Apache spark, Hive and data streaming tools • Strong understanding of database concepts and working knowledge with relational and NoSQL database technologies • Knowledge of BI tools, data visualization, reporting and analytical tools. • Understanding of data governance framework and practices

This specialized training is typically recognized by any graduate degree and/or a professional designation in a technical field. Several years of related direct work experience in data engineering and information management domain
