The impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together

As the Manager - Business & Partner Enablement DevOps, you will work alongside some of the most experienced and engaging technology teams at TELUS. You will lead a team of software engineers and technology experts who continuously improve our value delivery. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and partners to solve complex problems while contributing towards the strategy and evolution of our team to meet changing business demands. You will propose, guide and lead the way we can unlock business value by leveraging our platforms and technology as critical assets. Your legacy will include playing a lead role in the development and implementation of a fully automated value chain to deliver better business outcomes and experiences for our customers.

Here's how - You will be:
    •Leading a team of software engineers, analysts and architects while managing and prioritizing multiple, concurrent projects in an "agile" environment from conception to delivery •Supporting project teams in overcoming challenges by helping to remove roadblocks and developing options and solutions •Developing technology roadmaps and strategies in partnership with our Business and Enterprise Architecture teams to simplify our software solutions •Driving continued performance and process improvements within the organisation •Quantifying, capturing and articulating the application of technology solutions and make recommendations to business leaders and executives in order to influence the realization of value at TELUS •Developing strong relationships with our business partners and across the Technology Strategy and Business Transformation organizations •Continuously striving to inspire, lead, coach and develop technical team members both onshore and offshore and foster high engagement and high performance •Developing and managing resource plans, including forecasting people resources and capital •Managing budget related activities to meet financial goals


Qualifications:

    •Regarded as collaborative, creative, entrepreneurial and willing to experiment •Noted for your understanding of Cloud Platforms and Micro Services and the software development lifecycle (Waterfall and Agile/Scrum) •Confident in engaging with and making presentations to executive leaders •Valued as a strong people leader with four or more years of experience leading technical team members in a large enterprise environment •Respected as a collaborative partner and trusted advisor who builds strong relationships across the organization that add value •Recognized for successfully managing multiple programs/projects, concurrent projects and delivering on agreed upon commitments as promised including managing risks and change •Known as an excellent communicator, negotiator and influencer and able to convey complex ideas and concepts to a variety of audiences, including senior leaders, in a clear, simple, easy to understand manner •Sought out as a strategic thinker with strong financial and business acumen •Respected as having advanced analytical, technology assessment, decision-making, and business case development skills •Acknowledged as a self-starter with high initiative and results-focus orientation who takes ownership of complex issues to resolution •Noted for your working knowledge of:
      •Application integration models and methodologies •Agile development and DevOps methodologies •Software development and coding techniques
    •Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
Great-to-haves:
    •Any experience delivering software solutions related to ordering, billing and contracts will be an asset
