Position Overview: 

Microserve is looking for a Managed Print Support Specialist (MPSS) to join our team in Burnaby, BC! 

Reporting to the Manager of Print Services, the Managed Print Support Specialist (MPSS) works with Microserve’s Administrative, Service Management and Technical teams to remotely deliver services that are unique to a Managed Print environment. As the MPSS, you will be looking after the support of the HP Device Control Center (DCC) tool and associated technologies. This role will also be responsible for supporting and troubleshooting the basic day-to-day work requirements of the tool and maintaining our fleet database. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Support Microserve’s Managed Print clients with Supplies Management inquiries and changes 

  • Coordinate proactive maintenance processes, including Long Life Consumable (LLC) installation, proactive cleaning and technical alert responses 

  • Coordinate Install, Move, Add or Change (IMAC) requests, as required 

  • Remotely analyze and troubleshoot printer hardware and related peripherals, using tools like Web JetAdmin, HP DCC and/or printer Embedded Web Servers 

  • Co-ordinate with and update HP Account Manager, on device status and large-scale fleet Issues and escalations 

  • Document, maintain and update printer configuration data 

  • Remotely train and consult end users on printers and consumables, as required 

  • Ensure timely updates are entered into the service management tool 

Qualifications and Education Requirements: 

  • 3+ years’ experience in an IT service environment supporting desktop, printers etc. 

  • A client focused attitude and a desire to develop processes with the client in mind 

  • Excellent written, verbal and service management tool communication skills 

  • Knowledge of IT manufacturers, order management and parts ordering processes preferred 

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand data 

  • Excellent time management skills with a sense of urgency to complete high priority tasks 

 

Desirables: 

  • IT certificate, diploma or degree desired 

  • Experience in the service, repair or service coordination for printer/MFP/photocopier devices 

  • Certifications from HP or other printer manufacturers  

  • CompTIA A+ certification (or similar) is considered an asset 

  • ITIL certification (or similar) is considered an asset 

 

Position Requirements: 

  • Must pass a criminal record check (CPIC)
