Position Summary
Are you a registered Medical Laboratory Technologist looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to Northern Health.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Health Service Administrator or designate, this position is responsible for directing, coordinating and supervising the day-to-day activities of the laboratory and its departments in consultation with regional technologist for the NEHSDA in clinical quality matters.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 07:30 to 15:30

Qualfications
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program.
• Eligible for certification from the Canadian Society of Laboratory Science.
• Three (3) years recent related experience in a senior capacity in a Laboratory Department.
• Two (2) years previous supervisory experience in a similar capacity required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Ability to organize plan and supervise.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with lab staff, medical staff and all hospital departments.
• Ability to deal with problems.
• Good judgment.
• Physical ability to perform duties of the job.
• Operate related equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
