The Role

This role involves a few different sales elements. Firstly, identifying expansion and upsell opportunities to existing direct clients. Secondly, working with the Client Success Team and Sales leaders to get warm introductions to new locations, sister companies or parent companies who may not already be aware of OfficeSpace. Then you’ll move onto qualifying, demos, and closing.

Key Account Managers have a solid understanding of the complexities, and personalities, involved in selling enterprise software, and love the thrill of the hunt.

Responsibilities

  • Creating sales plans for each key account outlining the key contacts and steps needed to gain more business.
  • Performing background research for existing clients and potential clients to find any relevant information and ensure we have a good understanding of how we can help them
  • Pre-qualifying ‘enterprise fit’ opportunities based on the key factors OfficeSpace has laid out
  • Setting up and leading discovery calls to understand key information such as need, budget, and current processes.
  • Performing software demos for various stakeholders like Facilities, HR, IT, and C-suite executives
  • Taking relevant notes and documenting them in HubSpot CRM
  • Taking what you are learning about our prospects and customers and being an active participant in the discussion with marketing around targeted campaigns for new customer acquisition and re-engagement campaigns
  • Constantly looking for new, more efficient processes or tools to improve the qualification process
  • Continuously re-examine the deal pipeline to ensure that prospects are moving through the pipeline.
  • Staying up-to-speed on product updates and upcoming features
  • Tracking contacts and leads using our CRM and external tools like LinkedIn
  • Working closely with our Account Managers and Client Services teams to identify clients who can act as referrals and references
  • Working with Sales and Marketing to benchmark existing clients and research opportunities for growth, expansion and upsells

Requirements

  • We are looking for someone with 5+ years in a sales role with a tech company - preferably SaaS based
  • You have a proven track record of growing new and existing accounts
  • You are a hunter
  • You are a great active listener and have a natural knack for sales
  • You are a detail oriented multi-tasker with proven experience keeping track of lots of things without dropping the ball
  • You have superior organizational skills. Disorganization drives you crazy and you like taking the initiative to ensure all aspects of your work flow in a logical order and in an efficient and organized way
  • You have the ability to easily connect with, and relate to, others. Let’s face it: the first thing they are buying is you!
  • You are sincere and genuine when selling our products to clients - not aggressive or “salesy”
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You have awesome software demo skills (yes, we’ll test you!)
  • You have a keen eye for opportunities to sell more

Nice to Have

  • Formal sales training
  • HubSpot CRM experience is an asset but not required
