Position Highlights IS Claims Applications Delivery and Support team of Information Services Division is currently looking for an entry-level Business Systems Analyst . The work will focus on business systems analysis supporting the ClaimCenter application as well as business changes within the Claims Division. The work will be a mix of delivering on Claims releases or projects and incident management. The position will be based out of Head Office in North Vancouver, BC.

Position Requirements This position will require someone that has hand on experience in the domain of business & system analysis and who has worked in a fast-pace, deadline driven work environment. The ideal candidate will possess the following analytical, problem, and knowledge/technical skills:

• Participate in sustainment or enhancement systems projects to ensure system solutions meet business needs • Strong analytical abilities in gathering and understanding and validating requirements and then translating these to user stories; • Able to consider different solution options and provide recommendations to operational problems of small to medium complexity • Ability to participate in business, statistical and process analysis to determine opportunities for improvement, assess risk, recommend and implement improved methods • Participates in the implementation and verification of system changes. Reviews and makes recommendations on quality assurance and adherence to requirements, working in cooperation with a more senior analyst. • Executes Simple to Medium Complexity testing • Contributes to development of testing strategies and scenarios for systems functionality in cooperation with a more senior analyst. Plans, coordinates, and participates in testing and provides feedback or recommendations during design. Checks, verifies, and signs-off on end-user testing results • Identify root causes of defects/incidents within assigned portfolio and communicate resolutions • Understand the business and the impacts of technology issues within their respective portfolio (including impact assessment as

a result of system design and/or technology changes) • Considers interdependencies and impacts of decisions; analyses multiple sources of information and perspectives (includes Impact assessment as a result of technology changes) • Assist in identifying business value and prioritization • Explore and support new ideas to improve business processes and technology, communicating ideas constructively • Translate business input, interpret directions and apply guidelines into functional and non-functional requirements • Support or co-lead small cross functional teams • The following skills will be considered advantageous: - Previous experience on application development technology and environments such as Java and .NET development, Active Directory, SoapUI and REST services, Oracle, and PL/SQL - Guidewire ClaimCenter and/or OutSystems workflow
