The Detectors Group at TRIUMF plays a crucial role in the field of particle and nuclear physics. They specialize in designing, developing, manufacturing, and assembling detector systems for both local and global projects. Currently, we are seeking a highly skilled Journeyperson Machinist to join our team.
As a valued member of the Detector Support Facility, the Certified Journeyperson Machinist will assume a pivotal role in providing machining services and technical support to the Detectors Group and other significant TRIUMF projects. Moreover, this position will involve spearheading the development of innovative manufacturing processes and techniques to propel detector technology advancements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Trades certification as a Machinist, and a minimum of 4 years of journeyperson experience.
Applicants must be legally able to work in Canada on a permanent basis (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident).
