Job Description

An established commercial and residential millwork construction company is looking for an experienced Joinery Craftsperson/Bench with skills and experience in specialty wood joinery, machining, assembly, interpretation of shop drawings, and jig use. This position produces the custom components that go into many high end architectural residential and commercial millwork projects across the BC market. We have a full work schedule and offer steady hours.

To be successful in this position you need to be an organized, dependable individual that can operate precision production equipment and high quality tools. On a daily basis you will be working with drawings and documentation that are detailed, precise and complete. You must have an eye for detail and proven math skills needed to maintain required quality standards. You will need to be able to understand build requirements and produce the project components and assemblies efficiently, accurately and safely with minimal oversite.
 
This is a bench oriented position requiring focused specialty skillsets working with solid wood, wood composites and occasionally veneers to make high quality architectural millwork. Ideally you have formal training in joinery (preferably through an apprenticeship or post-secondary program) and at least 3 to 5 years of experience using joinery skills in a millwork/custom woodwork operation.

An attractive compensation package, including benefits, is offered to be reviewed annually based on performance. 

This is a full-time permanent position with steady full time hours Monday to Friday.
