As a Project Manager on this team, you'll provide support to a team of 24 Wireless Network Technicians located in communities in the Lower Mainland as well as across the province of BC to deliver the highest standard of wireless service reliability. You will be supporting cellular deployments for special events as well as operations and maintenance for the Radio Access Network (RAN) cell sites, with our 'Customers First' belief as our central focus point. We believe in taking the learnings and insights from our team and collaborating with other stakeholder teams to mitigate any incident from re-occurring including driving best practices so our customers stay connected and have the best wireless service experiences.Here's how
•Managing network operational expense budgets including creating, forecasting, monitoring and developing cost saving measures
•Leading deployment program for cellular coverage at special events like COW program
•Resolving operational issues like re-roofing, road maintenance, site vandalism, and repair work
•Delivering end-to-end sustainment programs like generator deployment, HVAC upgrades
•Acting as point of contact for TELUS wireless service sites
•Cultivating strong collaborative partnerships with Team Managers, Wireless Technicians, other Project Managers, upstream and downstream partners, and external partners to optimize project deployments for our customers
•Leading collaborative meetings on a regular basis to remove roadblocks, mitigate risks & issues, and develop action plans to manage changeQualifications:You're the missing piece of the puzzle
•Known as an inspiring leader who leads project teams to deliver programs on time and on budget
•Exceptional communicator, influencer and negotiator, able to build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
•Strong business and financial acumen who drives innovation, change and process improvements
•Respected for your track record of operational execution and delivery excellence and achieving results in a complex environment
•Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and poise when faced with difficult challenges
•Knowledge of construction standards, contract management and project management
•Class 5 Driver's license, and the ability to travel across BC including rural regions supported by your team
•Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science and/or Business Administration Great-to-haves
•Project Management Professional (PMP) designation
•5-7 years of experience managing all phases of complex projects from $5M to $15M
•Lean Six Sigma (LSS), Own.it certifications, and/or equivalent designation/s Who is TELUS?
