Job Summary A great opportunity to take the next step in your careerWho we are: The Health Sector Information Analysis & Reporting (HSIAR) sets the foundation for the delivery of high-quality health sector information, analytics, and reporting. The Division leads key information management functions including data stewardship, governance, security, and access; analytics and reporting; and quality assurance, performance measurement, and evaluation functions. HSIAR sets out to exercise effective governance over secondary use data resources, while enabling timely and secure access to data, and supporting an integrated, modernized model of information sharing across the health sector. The Division leads the overarching provincial analytic strategy and approach, and performs comprehensive, robust and integrated analytics, research, and evaluation of health sector performance.
What we are looking for: The product owner will actively engage with Ministry and external partners on analytics products. Our ideal candidate enjoys engaging with people, providing a high level of service and problem-solving proactively. The product owner is part of a cross-functional team supporting a variety of portals. As the successful candidate, you will manage the operation, maintenance, and development of the a reporting portal for external partners.
A little more about the role. As a product owner, this position is responsible for managing the operations, maintenance and development and delivery of high-quality health information and analytic products that impact the health care system throughout the province. The job profile resides in the Performance, Partnership and Methodologies branch in the Health Sector Information, Analysis and Reporting Division. This position reports to a Senior Product Manager.
The Product Manager is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary agile delivery team to develop a new major digital product or service and/or extensive iterations to significant existing products and/or services. In this role, you will provide strategic technical guidance and requirements for an Agile Scrum Team, consisting of technical and professional staff. You will serve as a subject matter expert and may represent the ministry at stakeholder and other working group consultations. The work is focused on maintaining, developing, integrating, and consolidating enterprise applications in support of the ministry's strategic and operational goals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS - A degree in Information Technology and/or Information Management or a related technical field, and a minimum four (4) years of related experience;OR
- A diploma in Information Technology and/or Information Management or a related technical field, and a minimum five (5) years of related experience;OR
- A certification in Information Technology and/or Information Management or a related technical field, and a minimum six (6) years of related experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered
RELATED EXPERIENCE Must include at least one or more of the following:
- Experience using user-centered design practices in the development of digital products and services.
- Experience using modern agile project management practices, open source development and/or cloud platforms to design, deliver and continuously improve high quality digital products and services.
- Experience managing complex enterprise IM/IT projects with multiple interdependencies including major business transformations, strategic communications, and the oversight of system integrators.
- Experience working collaboratively with a range of partners to ensure successful product delivery.
