The Online Learning & Educational Resources Branch provides three key and critical services for the Education system: Open School BC, ShareEdBC and Online Learning. The Online Learning team is supporting the implementation of a new provincial learning management system (D2L Brightspace). This new provincial learning management system will support the modernization of online learning.

This role willprovide business analysis/consulting services and plan ongoing business and technology needs consistent with government and ministry strategic plans, system standards and interfacing requirements. Provides expert advice to senior staff, leads multiple project teams, and provides admin support for the new provincial learning management system.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Degree, diploma, certification or equivalent in the computer science field.
  • 2 years of experience providing business analysis on high-risk projects, including management of external contractors in both an operational and application development setting.
  • 2 years of experience providing services to clients including weekly and monthly meetings to review priorities for the business area, the creation of test plans and scripts for UAT, working with internal and external resources to facilitate the SDLC release process.


Preference may be given to applicants with:
  • Experience in Disciplined Agile, Project Management or MS Dynamics.
  • Experience with learning management system/s (LMS).
