Job Summary An excellent opportunity to join this dynamic team and apply your technological skillsThe Technology and Business Transformation Branch (TBTB) at the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills (PSFS) supports the Information Management and Information Technology requirements of the Ministry. TBTB provides leadership, direction, support and expertise to ensure that all mandated key strategic information management and information technology projects, critical business and other initiatives are delivered in scope, on time, on budget and with the agreed upon functionality and business results. TBTB responsibilities include defining and managing the application development architecture, developing and promoting digital and information technology standards, servicing client line of business information systems and managing system development projects.
The Senior Business Analyst provides business analysis/consulting services and plans ongoing business and technology needs consistent with government and ministry strategic plans, system standards and interfacing requirements. This position provides expert advice to senior staff and leads multiple project teams.
Job Requirements:• Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, Certification or equivalent in the computer science field and three (3) years of *related experience.
*Related experience must include three (3) years in each of the following:
• Business analysis in a complex technology environment to support system application changes or improvements relating to corporate information technology projects.
• Project management, technical change management, and/or release management.
• Quality Assurance methodologies, testing types, practices and planning.
• Test plan creation, as well as leading User Acceptance Testing.
Preference may be given to applicants who have one or more of the following:
• Business Analysis or IT Project Management Certification.
• Experience in a business analyst role.
• Experience working with contracted technical development resources that support technical projects and delivery of product outcomes.
