Job Summary
An excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional The Information Systems Branch (ISB) is responsible for providing strategic IM/IT leadership for the Justice and Public Safety Sector, and for the provision of IM/IT services to support our sector program areas and stakeholders.This position is part of the Chief Technology Office (CTO) that is responsible for oversight and maintenance of a stable, secure, and efficient operational environment for our sector clients and their business applications. Key services include information security, application and infrastructure maintenance and support and liaison with central agencies through a Service Manager that supports sector staff and our broader stakeholders.
The Intermediate Application Technical Coordinator fulfills a critical role, leading the transition of mission-critical applications (and releases) from development into production. The position is relied upon, as a technical specialist and able communicator, to collaborate with both application developers and ministry clients. The Intermediate Application Technical Coordinator provides quality assurance oversight to ensure the integrity of the transition process and the orderly progression of projects into the production environment. This position requires as strong sense of teamwork and ability to work under pressure.
Job Requirements: - Degree, diploma or certificate in computer science or related field.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum 1 year experience leading the coordination of IT change and release management.
- Experience with OpenShift and/or Docker container-based development platforms or equivalent.
- Experience with trouble-shooting hardware, software, operating system and network issues.
- Experience providing technical support to complex client/server, web-based and cloud applications.
- Experience working on an Agile team.
- Experience providing quality assurance services (e.g. developing automated test cases).
- Experience with MS SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) & developing MS SQL queries/scripts, Active Server Pages (ASP) and html pages and Crystal Reports
