The Information Management Branch is accountable to provide IM/IT leadership, advice and support in order to facilitate the achievement of innovative, cost-effective solutions that enable our clients to manage risk and be effective in the delivery of their programs.

Experienced and capable in a high volume and fast paced environment, the Junior Business Analyst provides business analysis services and plans ongoing business and technology needs consistent with government and ministry strategic plans. The successful candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills that prove invaluable as they meet with clients to understand program needs and priorities as well as manage system changes throughout the systems development life cycle (e.g. root cause analysis, requirements, development, acceptance testing, change management and implementation).

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Degree, diploma, certification or equivalent in the computer science, business or public administration, technology, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years experience providing business analysis related to integrated custom applications with complex business processes, preferably in a Microsoft environment.
  • Minimum 3 years experience with change management processes and project management methodologies.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with contracted technical development resources that support technical projects and delivery of product outcomes.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with the installation, configuration, maintenance and problem resolution of hardware, software, operating systems, and network components.
  • Experience with application design and development life cycle; and Information Technology security.
