The IoT Sales Specialist supports Internet of Things (IoT) solutions to TELUS business and public sector clients. You will work with senior executives to help their organization accelerate business transformation through the implementation of new technologies and smart digital processes. The IoT portfolio involves three key solution sets:
•End-to-end applications centered on IoT devices, networks and analytics capabilities
•Wireless enabled Machine-to-Machine and/or Internet of Things solutions This customer-facing sales role requires the ability to interface effectively with high-profile customers in many areas of business, and to develop and articulate highly complex and configurable solutions that will enhance our customers' business metrics.What You will do
•Understand the world of IoT and fully understand the value proposition of TELUS' IoT offerings
•Engage with TELUS prospects and customers at all levels in an organization including the different lines of business, executives, finance, information technology & procurement
•Engage with TELUS Account Executives/Managers and the greater account team (other sales specialists and Customer Solution Engineers) to actively pursue a targeted list of customers to drive forward opportunities for the team
•Identify and initiate opportunities, qualify opportunities, and manage funnel for M2M applications and IoT Solutions to meet growth and revenue commitments
•Develop lasting and valued business relationships with clients and industry influencers, ensure TELUS' role as a trusted advisor
•Maintain high levels of knowledge and expertise regarding our customers, their industries and ecosystems
•Influence RFP content, manage competition, and drive change as it relates to customers' strategic plans, in order to influence decisions
•Handle and forward technical and operations questions or issues that may arise during a sales pursuit, and manage appropriate customer expectations throughout the sales cycle
•Negotiate contracts and agreements as required Qualifications:Your ideal profile includes
•Advanced understanding of TELUS' and the industry's range of M2M and IoT solution and offerings
•A proven background in developing new markets and proven record in strategic selling - understanding and experience using structured sales methodologies such as On Target's TAS planning
•Ability to discuss customer solution benefits with solid business/financial acumen
•Strong decision making skills to determine the most appropriate solutions and ability to manage customer expectations through change management
•Familiarity with M2M and IoT connectivity options including HSPA, LTE, WiFi and LPWAN Wireless technology and its applications
•Ability to inspire TELUS team members to make these solutions a reality by seeing them through from ideation to completion Professional designation and experience
•University degree or equivalent; minimum 5 years of sales experience in wireless, software, and/or strategic solution sales
•Mastery of the sales process - ability to effectively and efficiently identify, qualify and close sales opportunities Who is TELUS?
