Using exceptional writing, design, and communication skills you will work closely with Human Resources, Learning & Development colleagues, and internal stakeholders, to plan, produce, and manage exciting and new employee engagement and internal corporate communications priorities, using whatever mediums will be most effective.

Dare to dream and push the envelope using social media, video, online and traditional print. You will get opportunities to grow, problem solve and create solutions.


First 30 days
  • Understand how your role contributes to Company’s vision and mission
  • Learn and understand Company’s current communications processes, strategies, deliverables, and stakeholders
  • Learn team processes, including queue management
  • Learn the Company’s people processes, and complete your corporate onboarding
  • Assume responsibility for the Company’s existing internal communications deliverables
  • Take ownership of Company’s internal communications calendar, mapping out and overseeing recurring communications programs and deliverables
  • Meet with key stakeholders to understand their internal communications needs, and deliverables
  • Participate as a member of the corporate intranet build project team

First 60 days
  • Come up with new brand and marketing campaign for Company intranets and newsletters
  • Manage and build campaigns to support Diversity, Belonging & Inclusion calendar
  • Manage and build campaigns for various employee portals

First 90 days
  • Come up with new brand and marketing campaign for corporate intranets and corporate newsletter
  • Manage and build campaigns for Diversity & Inclusion calendar
  • Manage and build campaigns for Wellness Portal

  • Creates engaging written and visual messaging to motivate and inspire employees
  • Collaborates with stakeholder teams to write and produce materials and programs, including news articles, posts, and announcements for various internal communications channels
  • Supports the launch of new programs and initiatives with effective internal communications programs and materials
  • Delivers a variety of corporate communication tactics for any number of uses, including town halls, employee information sessions, video segments, newsletters, intranet articles, company announcements, and more
  • Designs and lays out digital collateral and assets
  • Creates, writes, designs, and manages messaging on internal web properties, including the corporate intranet
  • Supports recruitment and employer branding initiatives designed to attract and retain high-performing and high-value employees
  • Assists with social media management

Education & Experience
  • A post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications or another relevant and recognized program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience with developing and implementing internal communications plans and tactics
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders
  • Web development experience an asset

Knowledge, Skills, & Attributes

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and build relationships both in person and virtuall

Technical Competencies
  • Expert with using email & web content management systems
  • Familiar with how to use the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and PhotoShop
  • Expert at using MS Office and Adobe Acrobat to create high quality, high-impact pieces
  • Strong ability to recognize, write, and edit effective communications material
  • Familiar with the concepts that drive effective multimedia design & layout
  • Familiar with the concepts that create effective digital design and user experiences
  • Strong understanding of the strategies, tactics, and techniques used to reach the right messages using the right medium at the right moment
  • Proficient with using email & web content management systems
  • Familiarity with using the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Photoshop
  • Proficient at using MS Office and Adobe Acrobat to create high quality, high-impact piece
  • Knowledge and experience with social media, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and platforms such as Yammer is an asset
  • Strong writing, editing and content development skills.
  • Passion for collaborating with others
  • The desire to work effectively as part of a team and learn under pressure.
