Working in conjunction with the Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for providing direct support to all technical design, planning, and implementation of various enterprise systems. You will assist with the day to day operation and monitoring of our Infrastructure systems deployed across the country. As the main escalation point for Tier 2 support requests, you'll also be responsible for assisting our service desk with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, as they pertain to our server infrastructure

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Provides operational support for availability, performance, and administration of organization's information systems
  • Deployment of systems infrastructure and application upgrades
  • Restores files or systems by implementing backup procedures
  • Tracking user requests and activities using available ticketing solution
  • Develop and conduct various training and instruction for system users on operating systems, Office365, and other applications; assist users in maximizing the use of networks and computing systems
  • Establish and perform maintenance of programs following company and vendor standards
  • Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability
  • Monitor, maintain and respond to network systems monitoring/Out of Band issues
  • Apply best security practices to new and existing deployments, investigate cybersecurity alerts and take the appropriate remedial action
  • Liaise with Help Desk and solve issues escalated from the Help Desk
  • Participate in the on-call schedule
  • Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required. ?
  • May require flex hours to meet the requirement of other Paladin branches.
  • Keep up-to-date and acquire new skills with emphasis on technologies that add value to areas of direct responsibility.
  • 3-year practical experience in a System Administration position or operational team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience in a related field or industry
  • Current Microsoft MCSA, Nutanix NCA, A+ and Network+ certification
  • Must have strong oral, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated and follow instruction well.
  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills necessary to deal with and resolve technical problems
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service and documentation skills
