Your new role
The company is looking for an experienced Intermediate to Structural BIM Designer to take a lead role in the company, developing and implementing Revit standardization. As a leader, you set the example in your work. As a developer, you see the potential for improvement in people and process. Your new role will include taking a lead role on projects with limited supervision, developing BIM models for production and quantity take offs, developing and maintaining parametric components using Revit, collaborating with the structural engineering design team, providing technical recommendations within both the design and construction phases, active involvement in the project delivery review process, proactively communicate design coordination issues to the design team and helping to implement their resolution. You will be responsible for setting up and implementing organizational change and interference checking procedures, developing support material for use in training and onboarding sessions. You will also be championing standard methodologies in BIM project design and delivery processes, actively support ongoing improvements to our automation tools, software and standard methodology workflows. The successful candidate will have effective communication with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments, working in a startup environment with broad responsibilities and early-stage processes and procedures. There would also be opportunity to work on a variety of multi-residential, commercial, and industrial projects as a lead structural technologist.
What you'll need to succeed
Candidates should have 5+ years of experience as a structural design technologist using Revit software and have experience in standardization. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Computer Science, a Diploma in Architectural & Engineering Technology, or related credentials, 5+ years working in the building design industry along with 5+ years of experience working with Revit, proficiency in AutoCAD, proficiency in Revit Structures an asset. Familiarity with programming an asset.
