Build the future of sustainable buildings in one of Canada's most dynamic urban environments.
As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer - Buildings, you will play a key role in shaping high-performance, people-centred buildings across Vancouver and Western Canada. Your work will support a wide range of projects-from commercial and institutional facilities to complex mixed-use developments-where smart mechanical design drives comfort, efficiency, and long-term resilience.

Your Impact

• Design and develop mechanical building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, for new and existing facilities
• Contribute to detailed engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated building solutions
• Support projects through all phases-from concept and detailed design to construction and commissioning
• Apply sustainable design principles and energy-efficient solutions aligned with client and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and contractors to resolve technical challenges
• Support junior engineers and designers through technical guidance and review
• Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and quality across building projects

The Skills That Set You Apart

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience in building mechanical design within a consulting environment
• Eligible for or registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia
• Experience with HVAC system design, load calculations, and construction documentation
• Proficiency with industry tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modelling software
• Exposure to sustainable building standards and codes (ASHRAE, NECB, LEED considered an asset)
• Ability to manage priorities across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 - $102,500
MB & ON: $70,600 - $97,200
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $69,900 - $92,900
