Information Security Lead - Remote

This role is 100% remote so candidates can be based anywhere in Canada!

What You’ll Do

• Lead Information Security management strategy, framework and policy development
• Supervise IS Analysts and team members, participate in performance evaluations and develop career plans
• Oversee information security duties and ensure compliance with security standards
• Identify and track the company’s information security risks
• Manage and track progress of cybersecurity initiatives
• Assist with vulnerability assessment and other security audits
• Remediate information security vulnerabilities
• Implement ISO 27001 standard
• Respond to clients’ security questionnaires and risk management processes
• Responsible for internal security audits
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring

• 9+ years of experience in IT Security and related areas, including policies development
• 3+ years of experience auditing or implementing security standards like ISO27001 and compliance audits like SOC 1 or SOC 2 reports
• Undergraduate/Master degree in Information Security, IT Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, or equivalent
• Certification in any of the following: CISSP, CRISC< CISA, Ethical Hacking or equivalent
• Experience in implementation of ISO 27001 compliance project
• Experience in SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 report attestation projects, and Network Infrastructure analytics
• Knowledge of Information Security frameworks and IT Risk framework
