About our Client

Recruiting in Motion Vancouver is an authorized staffing partner and service provider to The University of British Columbia. UBC has several locations where we provide temporary staff including the Point Grey Campus, UBC Robson Square and several UBC hospital sites (VGH and vicinity, St. Paul’s, BCCH, Royal Columbian, and BC Women’s). They are currently looking for a hard-working, energetic Info System Tech to join their dynamic department of Medicine on a full-time temporary basis from March 20th to March 31st, 2023, with a high possibility of the assignment getting extended. Responsibilities

  • Responding to requests from the faculty, staff, and supported units in setting up operation
  • Providing training in audio-visual facilities such as video/data projection systems, computer presentation, and other audio-visual equipment
  • Performing maintenance on audio-visual equipment and systems
  • Providing IT support in resolving network, video, and workstation
  • Providing technical advice and support in the classroom and training users in the use of laptops, desktops, video projectors,s and other peripheral equipment
  • Testing and implementing new hardware, firmware, software, and security updates
  • Installing and maintaining technological medical and teaching aids (i.e., simulation technologies)
  • Handling documentation for assigned programs in accordance with prescribed standards
  • Ensuring that vendor list, inventory, and warranty records are up to date
  • Answering phone calls, responding to client emails, and solving issues remotely
  • Performing other related duties as required

Requirements

  • Strong Customer service experience is a must
  • Must have intermediate IT experience
  • Experience in the Audio/Visual field is required
  • Ability to move and lift audio/visual equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written manner
  • Familiarity with networking principles is an asset
  • Must have interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Adaptable, with a sense of urgency in executing job responsibilities
