The Opportunity: You'll be part of our growing team, using your skills as an Industrial Hygienist to manage on-site industrial hygiene needs for a WSP Golderclient.This position is an 18 month contract, with potential to extend to permanent. This position requires full time residency in the Kitimat area, or openness to relocate to Kitimat for the duration of the project. Relocation assistance will be provided.

•You'll be using your expertise to complete industrial hygiene exposure assessments, data entry, analysis and report writing, including:
•Schedule Industrial Hygiene monitoring campaigns according to the annual sampling plan;
•Sampling for chemical, biological, physical and ergonomic hazards;
•Calibrate and maintain various monitoring equipment;
•Working with laboratories (shipping samples, sample consultation, results review and input);
•Laboratory preparation of sample materials (calibrating, weighing, cassette preparation);
•Enter data into Occupational Exposures database (Cority);
•Perform data analysis according to recognized methods and preparation of reports;
•Assist in communicating the results of exposure assessments to affected parties; and
•Maintain records and update the Industrial Hygiene Sampling Plan.
•You will also use your skills to complete hazardous material management where required including confined space hazardous assessments;
•You will be responsible for respiratory protection training (PAPR) as well as respirator fit testing;
•When required for coverage purposes, you will be responsible for audiometry; and
•You will be expected to always put Health and Safety at the centre of all that you do.
What you'll bring to WSP Golder ... •Industrial Hygiene Technician program or equivalent education or experience in Industrial Hygiene.
•Good communication skills and ability to work in a team and independently.
•Good computer skills including Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Powerpoint. Ability to perform statistical analysis is an asset.
•Integrity & Leadership skills.
•Understanding of Industrial Hygiene sampling methods.
•Understanding of Hazardous materials assessment, sampling, and management systems.
•Must be able to effectively work in a team.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Past experience with Cority exposure monitoring database is an asset.
