Software Implementation Consultant and Project Manager

This is a hybrid remote role, with one day in the office, to facilitate brainstorming and team building

About the Opportunity

We are the leading provider of Academic-Dental software solutions in North America with clients located around the world. Our products enable educational institutions to train the next generation of dental professionals to deliver dental care to various markets, including the underserved and uninsured. Our core on-premises product powers over 90% of the market, and our cloud product is targeted for 300% growth over the next 12 months. To continue building on our success, we are looking for a capable Software Implementation Consultant and Project Manager for our core on-premise product, who brings a customer-focused mindset and skillful execution to our Professional Services team. 

You will be a vital member of the Professional Services team and will be responsible for project planning and executing the deployment and consulting for our dental software. You will oversee and lead projects from ideation through to completion. You are highly organized and a strong communicator.

  • Overseeing and managing the delivery of implementation and consulting projects to clients on new and existing software functionalities, optimizations, and improvements
  • Coordinating project team members and internal resources
  • Managing project progress and adapting work as required, ensuring projects meet deadlines
  • Utilizing strong business analysis, design, configuration, testing, training, deployment, and troubleshooting skills to deliver implementation projects on time within budget
  • Assessing and prioritizing customer issues and providing recommendations on how best to utilize our software to resolve their problems or help them achieve their business goals
  • Consulting with existing users on-site to enhance the utilization of our software and to increase customers' operational efficiencies
  • Training new users remotely and on-site on best business practices, fitting their institution's needs to our software
  • Gathering and documenting user and process requirements and developing workflows
  • Developing strong client relationships, both on-site and online via conference calls, e-mails, and web-based meetings, to support the implementation process and overall project approach
  • Overseeing all project management tools, including incoming and outgoing project documentation
  • Driving product improvements by working collaboratively with internal stakeholders

Skills and Attributes

  • Diploma or degree in relevant industry
  • Demonstrated track record of managing software implementation and consulting projects
  • Proven software implementation, training, and consulting experience
  • Strong follow-through and ownership
