The HR Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of our Human Capital Management (HCM) platform, Workday. The HR Systems Administrator will document and assist in maintaining business processes. They are an integral collaborator contributing to projects including system releases/upgrades, enhancements, and process redesign. They will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system configuration. Additional responsibilities include daily administration, system security set up, end user set up, training, and report writing. This role will act as tier 1 for all internal HR and employee questions related to our HR Systems

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Administrator of global HR systems which includes general Workday administration such as user security set-up, troubleshooting, reporting, data maintenance, ticket management, and audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Provide first tier support for troubleshooting and answering HR systems related questions using the Jira ticketing system to prioritize system issues and improvements
  • Stays apprised of system changes and updates to improve processes and enhance systems functionality
  • Assist with release upgrades and new functionality testing.
  • Maintain and update HR System documentation.
  • Generate reports for managers and the HR team as required. 
  • Actively participates on the project team for current and future implementation of HRsystem modules and enhancements.
  • Maintain system documentation, in particular with respect to maintaining data quality and business process documentation.
  • Contributes to an excellent HR service experience to managers & employees with respect to their interactions with HR Systems.
  • This role will support all HR Systems which may evolve over time.


  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HR.
  • 1+ years of HRIS administrator, specialist or analyst experience (i.e. Workday, Docebo, ADP, Oracle, PeopleSoft). Workday experience is highly preferred.
  • Completed post-secondary education in Human Resources or related from a recognized institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others in a diverse environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at one time.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong analytical, logical reasoning and problem solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
