We are currently looking for aGroup Benefits Leadto join our team inSurrey, BC. The Group Benefits Leadis responsible for managing a block of assigned partners and their client accounts, while providing direction and support to Client Services Representatives.

Outcomes
Within the first 30 days you will
  • Engage in 1-on-1 meetings with each team member to understand a day in their life
  • Meet with department stakeholders to understand how departments interact on a day to day as it pertains to your role
  • Review of training material and resources as it pertains to systems and processes


Within the first 60 days you will
  • Easily determine which department at GroupHEALTH is responsible for specific lines of business/functions
  • Working understanding of each GroupHEALTH benefit and product offering


Within the first 90 days you will
  • Learn specific accounts and have a good understanding of them
  • Leadership – a mentor for co-workers while building and supporting teamwork
  • Responsibility and ownership of assigned accounts
  • Understands financial arrangements and financial reports for ASO accounts
  • Consistent achievement of reaching a target SLA of 90% and developing promoters of GroupHEALTH
  • Identify a raving fan of your WOW! service within first 90 days


In addition to joining a team that is focused on delivering the “WOW!” factor daily (while enjoying weekly yoga stretches, fresh fruit & vegetables, 26 long weekends a year, and lots of cake!), yourKey Responsibilitieswill include:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partners and their staff while assisting them in managing their block of business with GroupHEALTH
  • Provides leadership and mentors the Client Services Rep in the delivery of the WOW! factor
  • Training and assisting Client Services Reps with product knowledge, claims experience, amendments, booklet updates, claim issues and contractual situations
  • Collaborating with the Underwriting department to obtain quotes and alternates
  • Managing and assisting in Life, Disability and other pooled benefit claims
  • Reviewing and interpreting contracts, and proposing changes when necessary
  • Travel at least once annually to visit your assigned Partner and their support staff (where applicable)
  • Communicating with and educating clients and partners on multi carrier guidelines and contractual questions
  • Understand underwriting arrangements and financial reports for ASO accounts and review where necessary
  • Handle complex claim and coverage inquiries and delegate to CSR when possible
  • Handle complex plan design amendments for existing clients by collecting necessary information, preparation of ARF and coordination with departments and carriers
  • Oversee the handling of booklet requests, changes, inserts by CSR
  • Performing other duties as assigned Management


Must Haves
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully mentor and support others
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines while remaining calm under pressure
  • Ability to work well with team and other departments


Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma required and some post-secondary education.
  • Minimum 2+ years Group Benefits experience required such as insurance carrier, TPA, consulting house, or advisor support
  • 2+ years of customer Service experience in an office or professional services environment required
  • GBA or CEBS courses/designation an asset
  • LLQP an asset
