Job Overview

MBS Techservices Inc. is looking for Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Specialist to support our GRC & Privacy Client Offering. MBS Techservices Inc. is a fast growing and highly specialized I.T. Security Company where professional individuals are highly respected. 

MBS Techservices Inc. has enterprise level clients such as major credit unions, provincial and federal governments and defence contractors, who rely on us for complex security solutions that protect key assets and IP in their businesses. The successful candidate will support our team's functions and processes to assist MBS Techservices Inc. in protecting our customers' data and comply with relevant laws, regulations, and controls.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform Security Assessments (N.I.S.T) for clients and help with their compliance (ISO 2701, N.I.S.T.800-53, SOC2) process including conducting interviews with technical teams, observing operations, reviewing transactions and documents, and completing documentation in working papers and audit reports
  • Conduct follow up and monitoring of the audit process to ensure corrective actions are completed
  • Create and develop risk management controls and systems, development of policies and procedures, and privacy reviews and assessments
  • Provide sales support by presenting GRC and privacy practices and controls, including responding to information security and privacy questionnaires and requests from prospects.
  • Create privacy reviews, processes, and documentation
  • Conduct research of GRC, privacy, and information security issues to help the team remain up to date on current practices

Qualifications and Core Competencies


  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in audit, risk management, privacy and/or compliance practices, principles, procedures, and techniques
  • Familiarity with information assurance standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and HIPPA
  • Relevant education and certifications in audit, information security and privacy
  • Prior experience in auditing technical controls and environments (for e.g.: datacenters, AWS, large corporate networks)
  • Must have academic accreditations


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills
  • Organized with strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to acquire secret clearance from Canadian government
  • Must have 10 years minimum Canadian Citizenship
